Construction of SIG Combibloc's Asia-Pacific Technical Center launched in SIP

The construction of SIG Combibloc's Asia-Pacific Technical Center was launched in SIP on May 12. As the company's only R&D center overseas, it is expected to recruit more than 200 professionals specialized in aseptic packaging, filling and technology development and research to provide services for clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

Based in Switzerland, SIG Combibloc is a world's leading supplier of aseptic carton packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry. The center will sit on 16,000 square meters and host R&D and training centers as well as filling unit assembly and storage facility supply systems. The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2017, and formal operation to start in the second quarter of 2018.
