A series of featured free courses, organized by SIP Education Bureau, were offered to students and enriched their winter vacation life. The activity was named One School, One Featured Course, and its opening ceremony was held in SIP Youth Center on Jan 18.

The 2-day activity fully displayed the featured achievements of SIP schools by such courses as art, science and technology, physical education, traditional art and so on.

Half a month before the activity, 16 master teachers from various schools started to offer free courses in SIP Youth Center, including Chinese painting, Taohuawu wood-cut new year picture, martial art, straw-plaiting art, Ocarina, robot programming and children percussion instruments, etc. Altogether 600 students attended the courses.

“We parents are very happy to see these courses offered as a platform for our children to learn knowledge they don’t have a chance to learn at school,” said a lady surnamed Han, who got the information about the courses from the Center’s Wechat and registered for her daughter.

According to SIP Youth Center, the undertaker of this activity, it is a significant attempt by SIP to integrate high quality education resources to benefit the society. Based on the platform built by the center, this activity has helped the featured courses of different schools in SIP to benefit more children and enrich their winter vacation life. In the future, the Center will promote the activity by organizing summer vacation courses and the like.
