Wang Liming, director of UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland (UCDCII), paid a visit to Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus (RUCSC) on Dec 23. Zhu Xinkai, secretary of CPC RUCSC Committee and dean of International School and Institut franco-chinois de l'Université de Renmin de Chine met with Wang Liming, and the two parties had a talk about cooperation matters.

Zhu Xinkai introduced RUCSC as an important platform to realize the internationalization of superior disciplines of Renmin University of China; it has trained large numbers of excellent talents with international perspectives and gained valuable experience in the process of internationalized operation.

He hoped to further strengthen cooperation with UCDCII based on the discipline building and talent training of the Chinese Language International Education program so as to contribute to enhancing the world's understanding of Chinese language and culture and propelling the development of diversified cultures worldwide.

Wang Liming said that RUCSC sends a good many outstanding volunteer Chinese language teachers to UCDCII every year, and they have made major contributions to the institute's development and the promotion of Chinese language in Ireland. He hoped to strengthen communication and cooperation with RUCSC in talent training, teacher dispatch, discipline building, etc. in an effort to open a new chapter in both parties' education career.

During the meeting, Zhu and Wang also compared notes on intercollegiate cooperation, Chinese language talent training and hot economic issues in today's world, and they exchanged each other's published works as well.
