Mr. Gabriel Lim, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) of Singapore, and his contingent acquired a good knowledge of SIP in their visit to the Sino-Singaporean cooperative project on Nov 8.

The MTI delegation first visited SIP Exhibition Center which offered them a holistic picture of SIP’s achievements in infrastructure construction, business support and social governance over the past 25 years.

The delegation members then had a tour around BioBAY, a biomedicine cluster with over 20 world-class higher education institutions and research institutes focusing on biomedicine, over 100 top-notch talents engaged in related fields and 1,300-plus biotech companies.

At BioBAY, the officials visited CStone Pharmaceuticals which, listed at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Market in February, has achieved a robust development of anti-cancer drugs since its inception in SIP in 2015.

Mr. Gabriel Lim said he and his colleagues were deeply impressed by SIP’s development outcomes and expected to see more tie-ups between MTI and SIP in the future, especially in the fields of AI, biomedicine and service trade.
