SIP Justice Bureau on Oct 23 convened a symposium with a number of administrative authorities and legal service suppliers to discuss strategies for better settlement of international commercial disputes in China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Suzhou Area, a free trade zone established in SIP in September. At the event, the bureau signed an agreement with Beijing RETIO Legal and Commercial Service Center for Belt and Road Initiative, a Beijing-based organization engaged in legal support for business operations under the country’s Belt and Road Initiative.

Under the agreement, the center will set up an office in the new FTZ to deal with commercial disputes. This is expected to help foster a more stable and orderly business environment in the zone.

Concurrently, SIP Justice Bureau also signed an agreement with SIP Bar Association to enter cooperation in legal support for the new FTZ.
