The Jiangsu Seminar on Comprehensive Pilot Zones for Developing Harmonious Labor Relations was held in Suzhou on Sept 6, calling for extending SIP’s experience in developing harmonious labor relations to other areas of the province.

In SIP, a National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Developing Harmonious Labor Relations, every enterprise with more than 100 employees has its own internal communication system, while over 90% of enterprises have fixed schedule for salary adjustment. SIP has adopted four mechanisms, namely consultation and coordination, prevention and early warning, service and guidance as well as mediation and reconciliation, to protect both employers'and employees' rights and interests. This has guaranteed stable and fast local economic and social development while leading to continuous decrease of labor disputes over the past three years.
