SIP signed an agreement with Children’s Hospital of Soochow University (CHSU) on Jan 20 to establish the first regional paediatric medical complex in Suzhou. The move aims to make use of CHSU’s high quality resources to help enhance the medical treatment for children in SIP.

According to the agreement, nine medical institutions in SIP are conferred as members of CHSU Medical Complex, including Xinhai Hospital and Xinhu Hospital, two Grade II comprehensive hospitals, and community health service centers in Weiting, Chefang and other communities. In future, CHSU will carry out regular work in these member units like expert diagosis, ward inspection, personnel training, etc. It will also open a green emergency treatment channel to take critical patients from these units and help improve the treatment level of critical children patients in SIP.

CHSU is a Grade III Class A children’s hospital incorporating medical services, rehabilitation, disease prevention, teaching and scientific research, with advanced medical equipments and powerful technical strength. The founding of the medical complex will more effectively bring its high quality paediatric resources into full play to help SIP grass-root medical institutions improve their treatment capabilities, provide safe and effective medical services for SIP children and lay a favorable foundation for SIP to accelerate the formation of hierarchical medical system of paediatric diseases.
