There are many transport companies in the area under the jurisdiction of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Traffic Police Squadron (YLPTPS), and the freight flow is rather heavy. Insisting on stopping freight vehicles' illegal acts at source, the squadron convenes safety work meetings for transport companies at regular intervals.

YLPTPS called another safety work meeting of the 33 transport companies under its jurisdiction on Dec 27, laying emphasis on a strict control over freight vehicles.

YLPTPS requested that the company management should subject their drivers to traffic safety education and keep records to nip accidents in the bud.

The transport companies are also requested to strengthen control over drivers, warn them against traffic violations, and take safety precautions for their drivers.

Non-qualified carriage of hazardous goods and drivers are forbidden to transport inflammable and explosive goods; meanwhile, the drivers should pay attention to their own safety protection at work and call the police in case of emergency.
