Wang Xiang, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee, made an inspection trip to Shengpu Sub-district.

Wang's group first came to Xingpu School, the present-day SIP No.6 Middle School that moved back to its original site after renovation. The new campus can accommodate 48 primary classes in 6 grades, and 36 classes of junior-high students, in addition to 118 teachers. Wang Xiang asked the school to strengthen the teachers' team while improving its hardware with care for the students.

SMMC Marine Drive Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1975 as a professional R&D and manufacturer of marine special propulsions, such as rudder propeller, controllable pitch propeller and tunnel thruster. Wang Xiang and other officials got detailed information about the development and employee structure of the company and its R&D input, and gave affirmative assessment of its achievements. Wang Xiang also asked about the company's problems and suggestions, and encouraged the company to operate more closely with the sub-district and take full advantage of the policies and resources there.

In Langhuayuan Community, Wang had a discussion with the grassroots Party organizations. He told the Party organizations to make consistent efforts in Party building in the current study campaign and achieve substantial results for the well-being of the people.

A meeting was held afterwards for the sub-district leaders to give a briefing about its work. Wang Xiang confirmed that the sub-district had fulfilled its tasks for the first six months, and obtained noteworthy progress in transformation and upgrading, the civilization promotion and Party building. He hoped that the sub-district would realize new breakthroughs in the improvement of its cadres' team, the level of economic development and regional function, so as to contribute to the construction of internationally advanced modern hi-tech SIP.
