At the national meeting on promoting community governance and service innovation in Nanjing on April 10, Chief Hua Xuexing of Suzhou Industrial Park Social Management Bureau made a keynote speech on SIP's experience.

Hua summarized eight proven practices of building "a mechanism involving all people to create a community full of energy": to encourage volunteer services, to promote corporate social responsibility, to listen to people, to streamline government-community interaction, to continuously improve community services, to build smart community, to optimize infrastructure of relocated communities, and to regulate social work management.

Since its being recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as "National Experiment Area of Community Governance and Service Innovation", SIP has introduced creative measures to strengthen leadership, to integrate resources, and to explore community potentials of development.

The officials from the Ministry of Civil Affairs and other participants spoke highly of SIP experience at the meeting. In 2014, SIP government plans to bring into full play its advantages as a China-Singapore cooperation project, to strengthen cooperation and coordination among different offices, and to set up detailed task agenda. The goal is to consolidate the social foundation for building SIP with vitality, to continuously improve community democratic autonomy and neighborhood services, and to further promote regional integration.
