The 5th SIP Jinji Lake Recitation Competition that was launched in SIP in mid-July has again aroused SIP residents’ zest for recitation. Many people recited poems, prose and other writings to powerfully and enthusiastically convey their meaning and spirit to the audiences.
The first SIP Jinji Lake Recitation Competition, sponsored by the Publicity Department and the United Front Work Department of CPC SIP Working Committee, and organized by SIP Library of SIP Public Cultural Center, was held in 2019 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of SIP.
Since then, the recitation competition program has provided lots of recitation enthusiasts with opportunities to showcase their talents in recitation, piqued the public’s interest in the art of recitation, and promoted the spread of excellent literary works.
“The competition has been growing in both its size and influence, and has become one of the most-anticipated events in SIP,” said an executive of SIP Library.
