2023 Global AI Product & Application Expo (AI Expo)

The three-day 2023 Global AI Product & Application Expo (AI Expo) opened at Suzhou International Expo Centre, SIP on June 25, attracting over 200 top experts and elites from such sectors as industrial vision, industrial software, intelligent networking, biological computing and metaverse.

On the agenda are a succession of activities to show new technologies, products and research findings in the AI sector, and also a series of forums aimed at brainstorming ideas and solutions that can help fuel the development of the AI industry.

The “Annual Report on Development of New-generation AI Technology (2022-2023)” and the “AI Development Index of Chinese Cities (2022-2023)” were released to share the outcomes of the latest studies and provide guidance for future development and application of AI technology.

The Zu Chongzhi Award program, which is open to global applicants, was launched. The program is designed to reward technologically advanced and widely applicable technologies and solutions that bring to in the AI sector key technological breakthroughs and innovations of great significance to society.

At the opening ceremony, 20 enterprises signed agreements to start operations in SIP, with a total investment of over RMB1 billion in projects focused on industrial software, AI chips, high-precision sensors, high-end semiconductor equipment, robots and so on.

An agreement was signed on site for the collaboration between the national new-generation AI open innovation platform in SIP and the “Pengcheng Mind” large model which is being developed by the Pengcheng Laboratory as an open model that provides services for enterprises’ digitization.

Six enterprises in the National Pilot Zone for Innovation and Development of New-generation Artificial Intelligence of Suzhou were declared “Demonstration Enterprises in Technology Supply”, and four declared “Application Scenario Demonstration Projects”.

In addition, 10 industrial clusters in the zone were honored “Characteristic Industrial Clusters”.

The event included six theme exhibition areas, namely the exhibition area of national platforms, the exhibition area of national pilot areas, the industrial vision exhibition area, the exhibition area of international partners, the exhibition area of projects from the AI Expo contest, and the black technology experience area.

The country’s leading tech companies including Huawei, iFLYTEK, China Telecom and Baidu showcased their products.

It is worth mentioning that the industrial vision exhibition area gathered products and solutions from more than 20 enterprises from SIP, demonstrating the achievements in industrial vision and upgrading of traditional manufacturing in the area.
