The 2023 China Telecom “Hello 5G Cup” Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race is going to kick off in SIP on June 22 to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival which, reckoned on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on that day this year.
The event will bring together 66 teams consisting of 1,398 people. Of them, 60 will compete in the 22-people 300-meter straightaway races and 12-men and 12-women 300-meter straightaway races. Six of the teams will perform in the 22-teens 300-meter straightaway race.
The event will also include the “Digital Dragon Boat” tour, an intangible cultural heritage fair, and other water sport activities such as yachting, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding.
