The Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale has greatly promoted interactions and exchanges between Suzhou and other cities at home and abroad. For many times, it brought together artists, cultural researchers, designers and art enthusiasts from all over the world.
Following an international standard, the biennale has played an important role in bringing cultural and creative resources into SIP and boosting local creativity, which has not only made SIP a highland of culture and art, but also brought about significant economic benefits.
The Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum is being built on the right bank of the beautiful Jinji Lake. It will serve as the main venue of the Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale in the future.
“The biennale provides opportunities for ordinary people to get close to art, better understand art and even create art,” said Yin Weidong, director of SIP Administration of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
