China Telecom’s booth showcased eye-catching outcomes in utilization of digital technology for upgrading of financial services.
For more than ten years, China Telecom has been exploring ways to help make financial services more easily available and securer to businesses engaged in real economy. It has sped up construction and upgrading of digital information infrastructures for better integration of telecommunication and financial data, and carried out a series of R&D projects for risk control in financial services.
At the event, China Telecom, the government of Suzhou and the Bank of China jointly unveiled a SIM card-based digital RMB payment application which supports use of digital RMB in financial services for the aged.
