The China Brain Project, which is focused on diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases related to cognitive disorders, intelligence development for children and teenagers as well as the development of brain-like computing and brain-computer interface, is expected to help us build a large resource library for innovation of theories, models and technologies so that we can advance our basic understanding of the brain and develop new technologies to address urgent health needs.

Based on a large multidimensional database of brain health, and also genetics, imaging and symptomatology, we are developing an efficacy evaluation system and novel therapies through a shared computing and analysis platform. We hope this can help better prevent, discover and treat brain diseases.

The use of artificial intelligence in treatment of brain diseases will be one of the major possible breakthroughs in our future researches and clinical practices. We can use optimized machine learning algorithms to build early warning and prediction models for treatment of brain diseases.

We hope that, with the support from the central government and the joint efforts of more and more researchers, we will be able to know the brain better and, based on that, develop more world-leading innovative technologies.
