Over the past 13 years, the VWIE-SIP has been serving as a bridge for biotech talents to know SIP and set up their projects here. The biomedical industry, the top priority in SIP’s industrial layout, is one of the beneficiaries.
SIP ranks first among biomedicine clusters nationwide in terms of industrial, talent and technical competitiveness. More and more top-notch talents are flowing into the area.
Statistics show that SIP’s BioBAY has gathered 86 experts designated as “top talents” under national talent programs, 143 accredited as “high-level innovation and entrepreneurship talents of Jiangsu province”, 222 “leading talents of Suzhou” and 456 “leading talents of SIP”, about 85% of which are overseas returnees.
These talents have created a number of businesses like Innovent Biologics and CStone Pharmaceutical that have developed into industrial leaders.
SIP hoped to seize the opportunities of the 2022 VWIE-SIP to entice more talents to the local biomedical sector.
