The areas in the east and west banks of Taihu Lake abound with oranges. When the oranges ripen between the ninth and tenth months of the Chinese calendar, the orange cakes will appear in the local markets.
The cake boasts a color like that of a fresh orange. It is sweet and a little bit sour, with refreshing aroma. It can be also used to sober the drunk up.
