Suzhou Zhongrui Hongxin Semiconductors Co Ltd, founded in SIP in June, has got ready for joining fiercer competition in the domestic semiconductor market following silicon carbide (SiC) was included into the country’s 14th five-year plan in August for development of third-generation semiconductors.
“It may be hard to increase the market share from 90% to 100%, but it is much easier for a leap from 10% to 20%,” Dr. Zhang Zhenzhong, founder of the company, said confidently.
Dr. Zhang joined the Research Institutes of Sweden after his graduation from the Royal Institute of Technology to develop SiC materials and power devices, and founded the SiC material and device company Ascatron in Sweden in 2011.
Zhang leads an R&D team consisting of members who all have been working in the semiconductor field for more than 10 years, and the company has pulled off remarkable outcomes in developing high-end semiconductor chips, SiC JBS diodes, power MOSFETs (metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors) and other devices and components.
Most of Zhongrui Hongxin’s products are superior to similar products in the market, and are especially suitable for use in military projects and aerospace engineering projects.
