Ye Xin, the 24-year-old chief engineer at Suzhou Fourth Dimension Information Technology Co Ltd, was honored for his superb achievements in developing smart building technologies covering smart locks, wireless communications and remote data transmission.

Ye took the first place in the smart building and elevator installation and maintenance contest in last year's WorldSkills China competition, and received the honor of "Top Chinese Technical Specialist" from the State Council of China. Recently, he was declared one of the "2018 Jinji Lake Craftsmen" by SIP authority.

"I used to be confused about the future until I realized that I can make a success relying on wholehearted devotion to my job and persistent practice," Ye said.
