The InnovFest Suzhou 2017 opened at SIP's NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute on June 6, attracting more than 100 Chinese and foreign high-tech innovation enterprises, business startup management organizations and academic institutions. In the following two days, over 80 keynote speeches were given and more than 60 meetings for potential cooperation were held.

InnovFest Suzhou 2017 held to promote cross-border cooperation in innovation and business startup


Jointly sponsored by NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute and Singapore-China (Suzhou) Innovation Center, the InnovFest Suzhou 2017 attracted not only over 10 renowned domestic and overseas universities, including Peking University, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, Zhejiang University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, but also over 200 enterprises and famous investment organizations, such as JNJ, BD, Bosch, Samsung, Asus and Haier.

 


The event was designed to provide a platform to enhance science and technology exchanges between different countries as well as boost industrial development. In addition, it aimed to bring global top-class science and technology research achievements to Suzhou.

About 20 startup projects made their debut at the Innov Alley during the event. Compared with the previous two sessions, this year's event attracted more international projects. More than 100 science and technology projects from over 10 countries and regions, including the United States, the UK, Singapore, Germany, Israel and Japan, demonstrated innovation in a variety of core industries, such as high-end manufacturing, AI, comprehensive healthcare, new energy, environmental protection as well as water service science and technology.
