The Joyous Celebration of the New Year, a recreational game organized by the Community Service Management Center of Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District (SEID), took place at Wenxing Stadium of the district on Jan 14. Over 150 people in 8 teams from communities, enterprises, institutions and Xietang sub-district took part in the competition.

There were three items, tug-of-war, basket-shooting and rope skipping, both competitive and interesting and the essence is to provide happiness for the participants.

Aunt Xu from Haide Community took part in basketball shooting and made seven baskets in succession. After the event, she excitedly said, "I feel so happy that I could still take part in the community activities at an old age."

An atmosphere of happiness and harmony pervaded throughout the event. Finally Dushu Lake Sports Center, Haide Community and united team of Hanlinyuan Community and Dushu Lake Armed Police Squadron won the top three prizes of the game.

Joyous Celebration of the New Year is a big event held by SEID Community Service Management Center at the end or beginning of every year. It not only enhances the joyous atmosphere of celebrating the New Year, but also provides a communication for communities, enterprises and institutions.
