Higer Bus, a renowned Chinese bus manufacturer based in Suzhou, is ready to take full advantage of its geographic proximity to the new SIP ICV Testing Zone that opened on Oct 11 to expand its self-driving bus realm.
Founded in 1998, Higer Bus exports vehicles along with eco-friendly public traffic solutions to over 120 countries and regions. It started to dabble in autonomous vehicles nearly 10 years ago, with a list of products that have won it high fame in the smart vehicle sector.

Higer Bus developed G-BOS several years ago and upgraded it in 2013 and 2017 to support remote control of passenger buses for high-level safety.

Apart from that, the company obtained the license for testing its eight-meter-long self-driving bus in 2018. The autonomous vehicle boasts a combination of world-leading smart sensing and deep learning technologies that enable it to analyze complicated road conditions and adjust operations automatically, and received three awards in an autonomous vehicles’ competition held in Southwest China’s Chongqing early this year. Besides, the company’s Pro-Blue, a 14-seat self-driving bus, stunned the visitors to the 2019 Auto Shanghai exhibition.

These self-driving vehicles have been put into mass production in different scales, the company said, adding that it is strengthening efforts to provide more vehicles and solutions for safe, convenient, comfortable and low-carbon public travel.
