Communities upgrade services for different age groups

Communities in SIP’s Hudong sub-district are continuously upgrading their services with the purpose of helping the local residents in different age brackets live a better life.
 
The Kids’ Reading Club of Hupan Tiancheng Community on Oct 7 organized the “For Health & Fun” outdoor sports meet where 10 families enjoyed several happy hours in a series of fun games like tug-of-war and rope skipping.
Jingcheng Community hosted an event on Oct 9 when over 30 children acted as “chess pieces” to play a game on a huge chessboard on the ground to identify various types of waste. The event enhanced their knowledge of garbage classification.
 
Donghu Dajun Community organized an event on the same day when a number of elderlies learnt to make handicrafts with beads. The event enriched the elderlies’ life and offered them a chance to enhance interaction with their contemporaries.
International Waterfront Community offered a public lecture on Oct 10 to teach elderlies measures of preventing accidental falls and first-aid skills.
 
Zhongyue Community organized a reading event on Oct 9, offering the participating residents 20 books on laws concerning marriage, economic frauds, labor disputes, inheritance and other issues closely related to their daily life.
