Ni Qian, secretary of SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ) Party Working Committee, and his contingent had a survey tour around Shanghai from Aug 12 to 13, with the hope of learning experience that can help SIP-HMITZ achieve a better economic development.

The SIP-HMITZ officials first visited Shanghai Academy of Development & Reform where they introduced their customs services and express airport-to-owner cargo delivery project to the academy’s experts and consulted with them on SIP-HMITZ’s future development based on the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy.
The officials then visited Pudong New Area Free Trade Zone Research Institute, learning about good practices at China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (the country’s first FTZ of its kind launched in Pudong New Area in 2013) for trade facilitation and seeking cooperation opportunities.
During their last stop at Qiantan Emerging Industries Research Institute, the SIP-HMITZ officials discussed with the institute’s experts a list of challenges that SIP-HMITZ has encountered during its reform and development as well as feasible solutions such as market-oriented industrial restructuring and upgrading.
