Dongyun Community in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district on Aug 13 donated over 2,000 books to Suzhou Good Deeds Charity Center which is carrying out a program to collect one million donated books to help erect 1,000 libraries for children in less-developed mountainous areas.

 

The books reportedly will be delivered to several schools in Northwest China’s Gansu province as the first collections of the schools’ libraries.

It is learnt that Suzhou Good Deeds Charity Center has thus far helped set up 119 libraries of the kind in western mountainous areas.
