GENEWIZ starts construction on China headquarters

GENEWIZ, a globally leading genomics service company founded in 1999 in New Jersey, the United States, broke ground on its China headquarters in SIP on June 10, in a move to expand its global footprint.

GENEWIZ provides DNA sequencing, gene synthesis, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and GLP regulatory and clinical services, aiming to accelerate scientific discovery as well as develop and deliver innovative solutions for translational medicine and healthcare. The new headquarters is expected to help it improve its global biotech service network and acquire better competitiveness.

Design sketch

As GENEWIZ’s first infrastructure project worldwide, the project, with a land area of 20,000 square meters and total floor area of 65,000 square meters, will consist of two 12-storey towers respectively with offices and laboratories. The project will go on in two phases, and the first part is set to come into use in 2021.
