Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, had a meeting on May 30 with David Matthew Edwards, former general manager of Eli Lilly Suzhou Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, the branch of American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company in SIP, and his successor Roberto Faucitano.

At the meeting, Wu hopes that Eli Lilly can expand its operations in SIP in the future, bring more advanced products and technologies to the area and enhance cooperation with local enterprises.

Both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Faucitano spoke highly of SIP’s business environment, and the latter expects to strengthen cooperation with local partners in product and technology innovation, research and development and talent cultivation.
