The Suzhou leg of Batman Run Series, a global event to celebrate the 80th birthday of the fictional superhero Batman who started to appear in American comic books published by DC Comics in 1939, kicked off at Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR), SIP on Nov 30. Many people participated in the event individually or together with their partners or families.

 

The participants wearing uniform black T-shirt ran four kilometers along a route with games in scenarios mimicking the Batman movies. There was also an exhibition with the Batmobile from abroad, a dazzling variety of peripheral products, games named after Batman movies, and a cosplay show given by Batman fans.

 

It is worth mentioning that, taking the chance, YLPTR authorities launched the “Joyous Sports” program which is designed to tighten the ties between local employees and that between them and their employers. About 200 employees from 15 enterprises covered by the program partook in the event.
