A news briefing held in SIP on Sept 24 said the 2019 (10th) Lake Cup Regatta (LCR) is set to take place at Jinji Lake, SIP from Oct 11 to 13. Over 200 people will compete in the J/80, DC20 and Optimist Class races.

 

LCR, an annual event designed to popularize water sports nationwide, is not only a sports event, but also a feast of culture, fashion and tourism. As the previous sessions, this year’s event will be coupled with the Suzhou International Lohas Festival to offer the racers, spectators and visitors chances to taste delicious food, enjoy art performances and experience sailing and other sports.

 

What is also worth mentioning is that LCR Organizing Committee and China Post, a state-owned postal service supplier in China, will jointly release a set of stamps with pictures of wonderful moments at the previous sessions to mark LCR’s 10th anniversary.
