A news briefing held in SIP’s Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR) on May 15 announced that the 2019 Suzhou Leisure Cards, two concessionary cards that allow the card holders to enjoy discounted rates throughout the year when visiting a number of tourist destinations in Suzhou and enjoying the designated recreational projects there, is set to go on sale on May 16.

It is learnt that cards of the kinds are issued in Suzhou on a yearly basis since 2007 under a government project. The number of tourist destinations covered by the card services has been increased from the earliest 12 to 86 today. The cards are paired with digital versions for the holders to use with their smartphones or other mobile devices.

The 2019 versions include the Suzhou Leisure Card A which, priced at RMB 200, covers services concerning 79 tourist destinations, and Suzhou Leisure Card B which, RMB 330, enables access to 86 tourist destinations, including HB World, Chongyuan Temple and a host of other attractions in YLPTR.

It is reported that RMB 2 out of the payment for each card will be donated to poverty-stricken students in Suzhou. The news briefing also included a donation where four artworks were sold and the earnings will go to needy students, too.
