At the award ceremony held in Nanjing on Nov 24 to celebrate the most beautiful jogging tracks and sports parks in Jiangsu province, the 50-kilometer-long lakeside fitness path (also called cycle track) in Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR) received the honors of "Most Beautiful Jogging Track" and "Most Popular Jogging Track" after expert evaluation and on-line voting.

The path, completed in 2016, cost about RMB 450 million. It boasts a 7-kilometer section over water, wonderful surrounding sceneries and service facilities all the way through to ensure the visitors can enjoy a good walking or cycling tour.

Statistics show that the path receives more than 50,000 visitors each year, including locals coming for a stroll, tourists from neighboring areas and professional athletes and sports enthusiasts attracted by various events like cycling competitions and orienteering. This has made it one of the most sought-after fitness facilities in Suzhou.
