SOMERSET Baitang Suzhou, a serviced apartment inaugurated in SIP this year by Ascott, a member of Singapore-headquartered real estate conglomerate CapitaLand, was full of beautiful lights and music on the evening of Sept 8, as an event was going on here to celebrate ASCOTT's 20th anniversary of business development in the country. Many of the apartment dwellers and media workers were present.

The event started with a passionate and delightful hula dance, followed by a fashion show and a lucky draw amid waves of cheers and applause. It is reported that events of similar kind will continue later at ASCOTT's other properties.

According to Qian Zhiyue, manager of ASCOTT's Suzhou business, the company has four serviced apartments in the city, all featuring considerate and discreet services designed to offer the renters chances to experience different lifestyles during their short- or long-term stay. Qian hoped the event could help the participants know better about SOMERSET's offerings.

Lin Xiaoqiong, vice president of marketing at ASCOTT China, said they have been endeavoring to better their services and expand the brand awareness since its China branch was founded in 1998 and expect to win a larger share in the local market with their proficiency and global experience.
