The 2017 Jiangsu Sports Industry Forum was held in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, on Dec 11, aimed at propelling a faster and better development of the province's sports industry.

At the event, Chen Gang, director of Jiangsu Sports Bureau, gave a keynote speech entitled Sports Industry as a New Engine for Jiangsu's Development. Following that, Jiangsu Sports Bureau and Jiangsu Tourism Administration jointly declared a number of excellent sports tourism programs.

Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR), with rich sports tourism resources and a series of branded sports tourism products, was designated as a sports tourism demonstration base of the province, the only one in Suzhou.
