A number of events have taken place in Xi'an Community, Huxi sub-district, this month, calling on the local residents to show their respect and love for the elderly.

A reading session was organized on Nov 22, when volunteers guided the children to read books and postcards on filial piety and discuss what people should do when a senior citizen is in need of help.

In the event on Nov 20, a number of middle- and old-aged female volunteers made and presented hundreds of dumplings to the local elderlies who live alone.

Wisdom Tree Parents and Kids Club hosted a Thanksgiving Day party on Nov 21. With the help of a volunteer teacher, the children made cloths using materials provided by the community staff and gave them together with a hug to their family members as gifts.
