About 20 experts and scholars attended a meeting in SIP on Nov 3 to brainstorm strategies for the development of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Suzhou Area, a free trade zone inaugurated in SIP in September. 

 

At the event, the experts and scholars shared their opinions on trade facilitation, opening-up, business innovation and institutional reform in the new FTZ, and discussed a list of issues concerning the current and future development of the FTZ and offered advice. 

 

Moreover, Suzhou government, Suzhou Bureau of Commerce and DRTT, a think tank established under the approval of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, signed an agreement to start collaboration in research related to the FTZ, and concurrently launched the first series of research projects.
