Sponsored by Foreign Talent Research Center at the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the 2019 Suzhou Spring Job Fair for Foreigners took place at Hyatt Regency, SIP on Mar 30. A total of 50 employers based in Beijing and Shanghai, and Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Hainan provinces, and Inner Mongolia autonomous region offered about 500 job vacancies to over 500 overseas job hunters. 

Among the employers are 43 public and private educational institutions and several engaged in media services, industrial manufacturing, tourism and high technology development. 

"We hope to find five or six bilingual teachers who are proficient in certain disciplines," said Tang Yuting, director of Foreign Teacher Support Department at SIP Foreign Language School.

"I like Suzhou and expect to work here," a Nigerian who has been studying at Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus in SIP for seven months.

In addition to on-site interviews, the event included an information session to explain in detail to the job applicants policies and services concerning their work and life in the country, and an exhibition of traditional Suzhou-style handicrafts to help them know better about the city.
