The 2018 (9th) Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon (SZJLIHM) kicked off at SIP's Moonlight Dock on Mar 11. Over 30,000 people from different countries and regions competed in the half (21.0975 km), short (about 14 km), mini (about 4.5 km) and parent-child (about 3 km) races, and two Chinese racers respectively garnered the gold medals in the men's and women's half marathon races.

SZJLIHM, dubbed a "Gold Label Road Race" by Chinese Athletic Association, has attracted increasing attention since its initiation in Suzhou in 2010. This year’s event received 57,538 applications from 51 countries and regions, the most in its history.

The event retained its consistent features, namely beautiful sceneries all the way through and highlighted local characteristics.

In the event, the participants not only could have a glimpse of a number of local landmark buildings and sceneries, but also had the chance to learn more about the over-2,500-year historical evolution of Suzhou city through the specially designed distance marks.

As one of the event sponsors, SIP provided thorough services to ensure a good order and the safety of all the people in the process.
