SIP offers fantastic multicultural experiences

SIP’s consistent endeavor in cultural opening-up is facilitating the fusion of diversified Chinese and foreign cultural elements in the area. This enables SIP to offer fantastic multicultural experiences.
There are events throughout the year to introduce traditional and modern Chinese culture and art to foreigners and offer local residents chances to experience the charm and essence of authentic foreign culture and art.

For example, iSING! Suzhou International Young Artists Festival is held annually for young artists from around the globe to learn to perform Chinese music works in Chinese and interact with Chinese artists and audiences. Jinji Lake Art Festival, another annual event in SIP, gathers a host of Chinese and overseas artists each year to give wonderful performances like musicals, operas and dramas and share their artistic concepts.
Apart from that, Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre never fails to amaze its audiences with elaborately selected art performances given by top-notch domestic and overseas artists. On this year’s schedule are the Broadway show School of Rock, French musical Romeo and Juliet, American musical Chicago, Broadway and West End production Evita and Chinese version of Mamma Mia.

Moreover, many of the local cultural facilities like SIP Library, Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block and Jinji Lake Concert Hall are good examples of multicultural fusion, in terms of their architectural design or their management mode.
