Shen Jianguo was born in August 1959 in Shanghai. After graduation from Suzhou Arts and Crafts School, he took advanced courses on decorative painting at Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1985.

In 2000, he graduated from Suzhou University with a Master's degree. Being a professor and senior investigator of arts and crafts at Art Institute of Suzhou University, Shen is also the vice president of Suzhou Sculpture Association, executive director of Jiangsu Sculpture Society, member of China Arts and Crafts Association, Sculpture Committee of China Arts and Crafts Association, member of Chinese Sculptors Association, curator of the Art Museum and the Suzhou Museum of Art Foundation.

For the past 20 years, he has been engaged in the study of the art of contemporary public environment, pursuing the coordination between public art and surroundings, the harmony of public art and local culture, and the interaction between public art and the mass public. He has been dedicated to creating over 50 urban sculptures in more than 20 cities in China. In recent years, he is mainly engaged in researching on and creation of abstract modern sculptures. And his artworks have been collected by art galleries both at home and abroad.

The project is designed to be a rotating wall which produces hyperspace in the conversion of time and space.It is far beyond the substance and life and shows the relationship between reality and dream.
