Focus Lighting Tech Breaks the Ground at Loufeng Town in SIP
Focus Lighting Tech Inc., a 750 million yuan project invested by Golden Valley Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., held a ground-breaking ceremony at Loufeng Town of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) on May 27. The Company will mainly be engaged in the design and industrialization of high-power semiconductor lighting (LED) wafers and chips.
Focus Lighting has a professional team with 15 years' rich experience in developing and manufacturing high quality LED semiconductor chips, LD laser chips, as well as in semiconductor lighting and IC products. With a registered capital of 250 million yuan and a total investment of 750 million yuan, the Company bought a piece of land with total area of 149 mu; the planned construction area of Phase 1 buildings is about 13,000m2 and that of Phase 2 complex 74,000m2.
At its completion, the plant will house the chip production lines for red, yellow, blue, green, and white LED lights as well as an R&D center, aimed to realize 150LM/W with proprietary technologies, to realize mass production, and to achieve the progress from two- to four-inch chips. The long-term goals of the Company are to found a low-carbon energy management division, to realize multi-industrial project integration, and to join hands with peers in R&D.
At present, SIP has gathered 50 hi-tech enterprises specializing in PV new energy, which has created a relatively complete industrial chain covering LED upper- and down-stream substrate materials, wafer and chip, packaging, and lighting products.
