Suzhou Ori Animation Opens the First Animation Museum in Jiangsu Province

Suzhou Ori Animation held an opening ceremony on May 23 in SIP Creative Industry Park for Ori Building, the new office building of the local animation leader, and Odry Animation Experience Hall, the first interactive site in Jiangsu Province to offer cartoon experience.

With a land area of 6,000, the construction area of 24,000 square meters, and an investment of 100 million yuan, the Ori Building completed in March will house a multi-functional animation base for R&D, service platform, HR training, tourism, and cartoon derivatives development.

The country's first experience-oriented animation popular science hall with 15 million yuan investment and a planned area of 6,000 square meters is located on the first floor of the building and consists of six parts: an animation museum, a performance area, an experience zone, a creative block, a theme restaurant, and a cinema hall.

The animation hall is designed to create a fairytale world by collecting and showing cartoon characters created by Ori and classic animation characters from all over the world. The visitors can also learn the development course of animation industry in China and the rest of the world. The exhibits include old-fashioned illustrated story books in Chinese as well as projectors and animation films from the US with a history of 80 years. This world of animation offers the public knowledge, production experience, performance, related products, movies, and a great deal of fun.

GM Qian Feng of Ori said the target customers are children and youngsters aged 5-15. The annual market value of local summer camps exceeds 10 million yuan and the company will explore a new profit-making pattern and plan to open similar experience facilities in Wuxi, Changzhou, and Nanjing.
