The Jinji Lake Scenic Area in SIP ranked fifth among the ten hottest tourist destinations during the three-day Chinese Qingming Festival holiday, according to a report by China Central Television (CCTV).
Statistics show that the scenic area recorded 545,900 tourist arrivals from Apr 4 to 6, with a year-on-year increase of 45.34%, and the number of visitors on the second day of the holiday exceeded 239,800.
The beautiful flowers of various colors and shapes were an attraction to tourists. The elegant peony, gorgeous cherry blossoms and amazing apricot flowers rendered the lakeshores beautiful.
The 2024 (7th) Jinji Lake Peach Flower Festival is underway on Peach Blossom Island, a small island in Jinji Lake, with the spring bazaar, intangible cultural heritage promotion and parade for participants to enjoy a wonderful spring outing.
The nightscape around Jinji Lake attracted many people, who enjoyed scenery in boat, watched the audio-visual shows of Jinji Lake Music Fountain or strolled around the lake.
There were also many exhibitions and performances, and diverse activities at shopping spots, such as the Hush Puppies at Suzhou Center and the “Young” Sports Season at Shin Kong Place.
