An exhibition kicked off at Songze Taoist Temple in SIP on Mar 30, showing about 60 pots of orchids along with 38 traditional Chinese calligraphy works by Qian Yuqing, a Suzhou-native calligrapher.
Sponsored by SIP Taoist Association, the event is designed to spread knowledge on orchids, which embody elegance, refinement and nobility in Chinese culture, and showcase the charm of the art of traditional Chinese calligraphy.
The calligraphy works and the plants were elaborately arranged to enhance each other’s charm. Visitors can enjoy different styles of calligraphy works amidst the fragrance of flowers.
