The Montreux Jazz Festival China headquarters was inaugurated in SIP on Feb 29 to bring legendary performances along with regular music-related events such as competitions and forums to music enthusiasts in SIP.
The Montreux Jazz Festival takes place for two weeks every summer in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Created in 1967, it has become one of the most influential music festivals in the world. Montreux has hosted iconic performances by artists including Miles Davis, Lady Gaga, Adele, Lang Lang and Tan Jing.
The first edition of Montreux Jazz Festival in SIP will kick off in October. In addition to Jazz, there will be performances of blues, rock, hip-pop, electronic and pop music.
