The exhibition themed “Van Gogh and His Friends” opened at Ming Gallery of Art, SIP on Mar 16, and will last till August 30. On display are 53 authentic works created by Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt van Rijn and other Western artists between the 17th to 20th centuries.
Among the exhibits are those of baroque, neo-classical, impressionistic, naturalistic and expressionistic styles, which are testimonies to the development of various art forms in Europe in a three-century period and manifestations of the unique culture in that period.
It is worth mentioning that visitors also have the chances to know better about the life of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh through the “Van Gogh Bistro” and “Van Gogh’s Bedroom”, and attend a series of public lectures held in the gallery during the exhibition.
