Calligraphy exhibition opens at Jinji Lake Art Museum

The calligraphy exhibition themed “The True Feelings” opened at Jinji Lake Art Museum, SIP on Aug 27, and will last till Sept 27. The exhibition showcases a number of traditional Chinese calligraphy works by Zhang Bin, a calligrapher who was born in 1982 in Kunshan, East China’s Jiangsu province.

Zhang, vice chairman and secretary general of Kunshan Calligraphers Association, has won a list of calligraphy awards, including one of the China Calligraphy Lanting Awards which are the highest-level awards for Chinese calligraphy art.

The exhibition encompasses over 70 works, including those in cursive script, a kind of rapid handwriting in which strokes are cursively connected, and those in running script, which is also called semi-cursive script.
