Several communities in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently hosted DIY events where the participants arranged flowers or made flower pictures to decorate their homes during the Chinese New Year holiday that started on Jan 31.
Chefang and Lianxiang communities organized similar events where the participating children and their parents arranged flowers following the instruction and demonstration of the volunteers.
In the event in Songyu Community, the youngsters made collages of beautiful flowers, and gained a better understanding of customs related to the Chinese New Year.
