SIP Municipal Service Group (SIPMSG) has made remarkable achievements in the implementation of the project aimed at realizing unmanned intelligent operation of roadside parking spaces across SIP.
A 5G-based Internet of Things system has been employed to ensure quick connections between vehicles, their owners and the parking equipment so that a parking space can be easily positioned and used with simple operations via electronic terminals.
Moreover, big data on the use of the parking spaces are collected and transferred to a cloud platform in a real-time way for use as basis for adjustment in allocation and management of the parking spaces and improvement of services for vehicle owners.
Statistics show that roadside parking turnover in SIP has improved by 121% since the project was launched, and the monthly economic benefits increased by about 200%, with labor input decreasing by 80%.
