Sicreat (Suzhou) Semitech Co Ltd, an SIP-based company engaged in developing advanced semiconductor materials and components, held the ground-breaking ceremony on Mar 26 for its headquarters to be set up in SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ).
Founded in 2013, Sicreat has developed into a domestic leading supplier of advanced semiconductor materials and components. Its single crystal silicon ingot incorporating the MCZ (Superconducting Magnetic Czochralski) technique has broken up the monopoly of overseas companies in related fields.
The total floor space of the project will reach more than 100,000 square meters. About RMB1.9 billion will be invested to build an array of buildings which will be used as offices, workshops and warehouses. The R&D facilities and workshops are expected to come into use in 2027.
